We Love Our Wing

Recently Angela and I joined a Gold Wing riding chapter. We joined Auburn Valley Wings Gold Wing Touring Association (GWTA) Chapter V out of Auburn Washington (http://auburnvalleywings.org/) mainly because they were close but also they had a very good website describing what they are all about. Typically we don’t go for this kind of stuff but their website welcomes visitors to join them for their meetings on the first Sunday of every month at the Puyallup Eagles so Angela & I decided to sit in on one to learn a little more. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a plethora of members and well-wishers. This group is loud and seems to like to have fun. After attending our first meeting we left feeling good and uplifted. We thought about it for the next couple of weeks and we even joined in on a chapter ride though we weren’t yet members. After completing our first ever chapter ride we again came away from the event happy and glad we attended the function. And as it’s said…..the rest is history. Angela and I attended the March meeting and gladly paid our dues. I even got up and spoke in front of the group about DamTour. There were good follow up questions about the DamTour and one member already had a check ready to sign himself and his wife up for the season.

This is our first year as members but I’m sure it will be filled with a lot of stories and memories.
