The Wing is ready!  Just back from a long-over due maintenance visit she’s been drained, filled, inspected, tightened, replaced and lubed to a whole new happy place! She’s got a brand new CB and is ready to ride!  Lucky for her, we have plenty of places to go…

IMG_0660We are now officially signed up for the following tours:

  • Wing Washington
  • BMR2014
  • 2014 Steeple Chase
  • Team Strange 30th Anniversary Tour
  • Team Strange President’s Tour
  • GLMC Double Down Grand Tour
  • Oregon Airport Tour

The RCMC Grand Tour registration form should be ready sometime this week – as soon as it is, we’ll be signing up for that too!  So far, this is what our ride map looks like:

As far as our “Bike Resolutions” for 2014, I think we’re doing pretty good…

So far this year we’ve:

  • Attended the banquet for the 2013 Steeple Chase
  • Not only rode, but led groups, for the first two of the three Green Freeze rides
  • Attended three Chapter meetings
  • Showed up for the Egg Stuffing Day at Lattin’s (though we drove to that one – snow!)
  • Supported Chapter D’s Spaghetti Feed and Auction through attendance and the winning bid for the neat Gold Wing sign pictured with the bike
  • Submitted two articles for the chapter newsletter (Steve did this as Safety Coordinator)
  • Posted 7 Blog articles (make that 8 with this one!)

Pretty good start to what we hope will be a great riding season!

Oh, and we’ve finally got some points on the BMR boards…

  1. What do the different colors on your ride map mean?

    • Blue = BMR; Turquoise = Oregon Airport Tour; Red = GLMC Grand Tour; Green = Wing Washington; and Yellow = Unofficial DamTour and Steeple Chase (glad you asked! Didn’t realize I’d used the same color twice – fixing map to turn Steeple Chase purple).
