Today we had our first ride of the year blessed with good friends and dry roads. We met for breakfast at Cattin’s in Puyallup before heading along a meandering route through Orting and South Prairie to Buckley then along the Green River to Green Valley Meats. After a bit of shopping for treats and dinner supplies, the group split up, everyone heading their own way home. It was a perfect ride to blow off the cobwebs – we didn’t have to figure out the route, it was all areas we were familiar with and therefore completely comfortable riding, and it wasn’t too far as we don’t yet have our “riding butts” that help sustain us over long distances. We did about 80 miles – not too long for a Sunday before a new work week but long enough to remind us how much we love riding and get us excited about the upcoming riding season.
Thanks to Paul for putting together this great little ride. Very stress free with friends and fellow riders. We are looking forward to the next one.
